Week nine

How I have cheated this week! Not just once.... Twice!

I was trying to stay happy and content about my hair but the texture of my hair closest to the scalp was just really heavy... When I'm in the shower my scalp-part is really waxy and when I'm out its thick and heavy. Its not going away and its been like this for weeks now. I felt like the oils couldn't keep up with the wax.

So what did I do? I did an ACV-rince. TWICE this week!

First time was on tuesday night. I had washed my hair just the day before with WO and didn't like it at all... I had just come home to my parents cause we were going to Venice in the end of the week(still here!) And I though to myself that I would most likely need a rince there because 1. They have hard water. 2. I'm gonna go swimming in salt water.

Because I had already decided to do the rince I though I might just try to do one in the beggining of the week to, so I did. Tierd of my hair I mixed a bottle, got in the shower and wow! I had forgotten that amazing feeling of ACV-rinse! All soft, I could detangle it in the shower and no waxyness!

It's a little bit oily and soft in a dull way but I've missed both of those thing so I'm happy!

I do not consider doing this as a routine but maybe if that waxy stuff is building up again. It's been almost two months since I "washed" my hair and I thing I can do i again!

I hope ya'll still have faith in me! :p

Week seven/eight

Hey ho everyone!

Sorry about the late post! Hope you had a nice week! My and my hair had a good one!

I didn't have energy to wash until sunday so I just left my hair over the weekend in ponytails. I do have some problems with ponytails and braids now since going WO. They all really pull on my hair, makes it hurt and small little hairs go crazy so that isn't really woking anymore to cover up bad hair days! :( I sure hope it will pass!

Here are some pics from monday morning when my hair was dry!
It was okey... Bit wierd, waxy, thick feeling in the scalp but okey-looking.

On tuesdag it was henna-time! So here are some pictures from that too! It felt alot better then last time! Not at all as dry or brittle and course as last time! The ends feels dry though but I think they will get along soon. My hair is henna-clean like last time but still needs to be washed again cause I get green/red/brown fingers when I run my hair through my hair for like a week! I might need to wash it out with something more cleaning?

Those eyebrows again..... Haha!

Week six

Hey! This week has been a week of learning about my hair and how both me and my hair are handling things!

It started almost a week ago(may 20) with me wanting to do a deeper and longer wash without missing any part of my scalp and really get that grease away! I got in the shower and washed it for like 40 minutes! I felt like it got better but there was much left when I got out so I just dryed my hair to see what it looked like...

I ended up with this....Greasy, waxy hair in my scalp and normal-ish hair in the lengths. It looks like I'm in such a bad mood in the picture, haha! But after spending so much time in the shower I wasn't happy about the flat, waxy(but in a way soft) result. I started brushing it with my boar bristle brush when it was almost dry and the oil just moved down and ruined the look even more..

I could do this with my hair... And it just stayed like that...

SO! I prepared a bottle of ACV-rince to run through my hair in the morning if it didn't get better. Greasyness usually get better from sleeping on it for me.

BUT! In the morning it looked like this! Nice, non-greasy, soft hair! A little flat but nothing at all like the night before! Wow!! So the bottle is still sitting on my drawer unused! :)

Conclusion!

I've learned something! A deep wash is good! I gets all the grease to let loose and then I can bb-brush and it works best for me when my hair is damp/wet(not wet-wet but the roots are still a bit damp) cause then the waxyness just moves so easy and distributed in the hair moving since the oils in dry hair isn't moving very easy for me. I washed again 24th cause I wanted to look nice on a bachelorette party where I got several compliments on my hair! I'm so happy to have learned something about my hair and I hope that I can keep up with this routine for a while!

week five

Hi everyone!

A step backward this week unfortunately. It feels more like week three exept for the course hairs.
I washed it on thursday but the result was just... I don't know what but I wasn't good... The ends were dry and the scalp oily so I washed it again on friday morning with a bit of a better result but still not as good as last week..

From before wash.. Not pretty..

I dont have any pictures from between the washes cause I just rushed to the shower again.. Sorry!

Here's me, posing after second wash while my hair dries...

Got crazy with the microfiber cloth...

The result! Not gonna deny it.. But I have been wearing it in braids or ponytails since.. The hair wash just crazy... :(

Psst! I colored my eyebrows! ;)

I think my problem is that I don't really take care of my hair in between.. I dont massage much and bbb-brush. So that is my mission for next week! Hope for a better result!

week four

WELL HELLO!

Progress in the making! I'm starting to really see and feel a difference! The biggest difference is that my hair does not feel as course or hard as last week and does not get as frissy!

I am back at my original time of the week for washing wich is friday or saturday. I did a wash on tuesday but washed it now again on saturday. It was all planned out because I was going to my boyfriends house and he has a normal functional shower, one where you can stand under running water! My own shower/bathtub has a broken holder so you have to hold the handle by yourself and therefore I can only work with one hand.

This is what it looked like on thuesday after wash.

Not only is my hair getting alot better, it was also a lot easier to wash now! Just look at this sexy hair!

I have also discovered these little babies! Haha! They have always been there growing in my forhead but never this long! You can see one of them sticking out on the pictures above! haaahah!

A week ago I would have braided it now when it's been two days after washing but my hair is still nice and soft with some volume so I think I'm gonna go one or two days more!

This is how it looks today(monday)
I have to give my eyebrows some henna too.....

Another happy thing that I've find it that my hair is very lightweight now although the hairstrands are covered in sebum! Amazing because I love the feeling!

Facial water only?

About a week ago I was thinking about my facial routine vs. my hair and body routine. Since I now only wash my hair with water and so goes for my body most of the time I thought "Why not my face too?".

Before my routine was that twice a week was my face with first a toner and then deep cleanse with OCM(oil cleansing method). That has been working well for me but because of this water only chabang that I'm doing I want to take my face with me. My skin is oily in the t-zon but has been getting a lot better since I went no poo on it, especially by OCM.

So one week ago I started! I began to only wash my face with water morning and night with cold-ish water(not freezing cold) and pat my face dry with come clean toiletpaper. Im going to my a pack of dry wipes instead cause the paper is always falling apart! Haha! I've gotten 3 small come-and-go pimples since I began but my pores are looking good! I scrub my face with my finger/fingernails in the bath about 1-2 a week to get rid of the dead skincells.

The last thing I'm trying, but is so hard, is to not touch my face! I have gotting into the good habbit of not touching it with my fingertips atleast but only with knuckles or arm since those parts touch less thing and therefore is more clean so thats great but I used to touch my face all the time before so... I'll see how this goes.

week three

Week 3 is over everyone and this week has been a little different from the others and I've also found something that makes my hair so much cleaner!

It started great! The sebum has been getting less and less and is more problematic to get down to the end when there is not as much sebum to work with.

I was planning to wash my hair two times this week because there was a photoshoot on thuesay and an event on saturday so I thought it could be an experience to see how my hair reacts but when saturday came I didn't have the energy to care and I just put it up in a ponytail! So my routine is a litte bit off this week..

I also havn't been massaging as much as I should .. so I'm a little bit behind. Shame on me! Gonna do better until next week! Pinky swear!

So I washed my hair on thuesday and my hair looked GREAT by the way! ;)
And here is a butload of pictures!

I get a lot of fly aways and coarse hair.. that is annoying but a small price to pay!

My hair is always a little bit dry after I've washed it :( I just go with it and try to move down the sebum as soon as possible!

But lets move on to something really exiting now! MICROFIBER! Or to be precise microfiber towl! I've got one from the store and I'm using it in my wet/damp hair and like rub it when in the scalp where it's the most oily and it just gets a lot of it away! I can see on the towl the grease that is coming of! It is so great! :D

week two

Week two! Jippey! Less grease and one rule broken!

It's going good! I can absolutely handle the braids! It looks nasty sometimes but I just go with it. No one is commenting on my nasty hair though... and I dont know if it is because reason 1. They dont have a problem with it  or 2. They just don't say anything. I thinking nr 2 is the biggest group of people because I walked around with a hat on my head when it was the sunbathing weather and only one person ask why! .... And that was my cousin on snapchat...

I don't really talk about the fact that I don't wash my hair. I just show my boyfriend pictures of people with beautiful WO-hair and dream on!

This week has been just like the first one. A little bit less greasy and harder/taking longer time to get the oils to move down than week one but it's okay. I colored my hair with henna this week and I gotta say that henna and cassia really makes my hair clean! Like wow! Super dry also but YAY for clean! I did not get all of the henna out so I rinsed again on day 7(henna was on day 5 counting from last wo-wash). I did no massaging during any of those washes so the henna did a good job!

Before wash.
And I just gotta say that I make it look really flat from bbb-brushing
so that you can see what it looks like. I do NOT walk around like this.

After wash! YAY-CLEAN!

dry ends... :( here I broke the oil-rule and put some coconut oil in the ends..

week one

One week. My last wash was Tuesday April 7th. That was a CO-wash and that Friday I put some cassia in my hair and did a water only wash. I got acceptably clean acctually! My plan is to wash my hair once a week so that my oils really get down to the ends and stays there for a while before I wash again. Yes. My hair will look like a mess and it did. Oily, quite nasty, it had that greasy-shine-look that everyone hates, dont lie. You hate it.

So first week was braided. Braided braided braided the whole week. I brushed with my wooden brush and BBB once a day and sleept in braides. During the nights my hair gets a lot better! The oilyness goes away a little from sleeping so I tend not to brush it in the moring and just keep that happy brush time to the evening.

In the evening I massage, brush for a long time! Usually during watching an episode of Pretty little liars or so. A lot of hair falls out in this little session but thats OK. It's mainly hair that would have fallen out during the day if it wasn't braided.

This is what it looked like before and after my wash on friday 14th.
Disgusting mess.

This is just after the first wash. Lots of volume but a wird hardness to the strands so It got it braided again that same night.

WELCOME!

Hi there cutiepie!

Big warm welcome to my water only journey blog! I've decided to blog about this since it might be good for some one out there in cyber space who wants to get on this water only thang! Maybe you stumbled here on accident or you want to learn some more. Maybe you've done this for a long time och just started. If you've been doing this for a while I will probably not be much help though... but who knows I might just be natural and pro at this!

But what is it thing that I'm doing then? Well I'm going water ony! I've been no poo-ing for 3 years this summer and mainly CO-wash(conditioner only). That worked great but lately my hair has been greasy, flat, annoying, having dry ends just been "KGLKSNGLSNGKLSHAÖFAHFHUYIG!!!!" sometimes... So I'm giving water only a try and hopes that it will give me a more nice feel. I've done this once before in the past, about 1,5 years ago. I lasted 1 month I think. Wasn't that much of a commitment.. more like a test. Liked it then and will do it better this time!

Im not going to let anything touch my hair.
No shampoo.
No conditioner.
No oils.
Notting but water.

So...

I got water.
I got a woden brush.
I got a boar bristle brush.
I got fingers.

I CAN DO THIS!
